A2007 Charitable Activities of SD VN, financed out of the SD common fund
1) February 8th (21 Dec. lunar):
- Donation of 200 kg sugar to destitute people of the Binh Phuoc province, value: 2,170,000 VND ( 108,5 €)
Visit to the VAN THIEN pagoda at 144/63 rue Tran Phu to visit and distribute New Year gifts to:
- Le Minh Xuan psychiatric hospital
- Deformed children (défoliation victims) in Thanh My Tay village, Duc Hue district, Long An province for a total of 2,000,000 VND (100 €)
- Donation to the kitchen of the hospital of Duc Pho district, valuer 600.000 VND ( 30 €)
- Donation to the Kim Chi Home of Love of the Long Thanh Pagoda, Thu Thua district, Long An province, value 500,000 VND ( 25 €)
- Visit to the hospital for children victims of cancer, donation of 2,500,000 VND ( 125 €)
Donation to the Hoang Mai special school, 23/470 B rue Le Duc Tho, F 16 , Go Vap District, Hochiminhville:
10 kg mungo beans, 10 kg de black beans, 10 kg red beans, 20 kg glutinous rice, 15 kg soap (for washing lined and clothes), 36 bars of perfumed toilet soap, 5 kg sugar and teaching implements, total value 1,550,000 VND ( 77,5 €)
5) September 4th:
Help to the victims of storms and floods in Central Viet Nam in the Vinh Nghiem Temple, value 2,250,000 VND ( 112,5€)
6) November 13th:
Help to a needy pupil, who is working very well at school and has lost both arms in an accident: Ngo Thai Hoang, living at hameau 4, Chanh Hoi village, Mang Thit district, Vinh Long province, donation of 2,000,000 VND ( 100 €)
7) October 26th:
Help to the flood victims in Central Vietnam, in the meditation centre: 150 packs of instant mi (wheat noodles) and 600,000 VND ( 30 €)donated by other members. Total donation: 5,000,000 VND ( 250 €)
8) November 16th:
- Visit to the hopital for children victims of cancer, donation of 7,000,000 VND ( 350 €) from SD VN fund
- Meditation centre with 140 concentrated milk boxes and 140 cake boxes
- 740,000 VND ( 37 €) coming from some members.
Help to the flood victims in Central Vietnam, in the meditation centre: 9,000,000 VND ( 450 € ) and 600,000 VND ( 30 € ) contributed by the other members ( amount used to buy rice)
10) Donation to the Tan An Hoi school: 5,000,000 VND ( 250 € ) for electrical lighting (not yet delivered)

1) Donation to the kitchen of the hospital for sick children:
