Project Information

Introduction: Anisha is working in four slums of Bangalore Central City i.e. Old gudadahalli, vandimode, Bakshi garden and Ganeshagudi. Pre primary class for 3-6 years old children from 10.30-12.30 pm on six days a week and also nutritious foods provided on all working days, supplementary class for school going children from first to tenth standard, health support for needy children, savings and credit for women’s, raising local resources, accessing government benefits for the community etc.

Target population: 150 families

Activities Achieved
1.Pre primary class

Total 26 children attending the class female 17 and 9 male

-6 children admitted to formal school 3 male and 3 female

2. Supplementary class
  • Total: 77 children attending the class 1)
  • 9th std 3 students scored rank in their class
2.1.  ANISHA motivating and encouraging the students who move out of supplementary class after completing 10th class to continue their education by supporting moral and financially.
  1. Ashok after completing 10th standard he discontinued his education and ANISHA staff councelled and followed his activities and ones in two month visited the school and got the information from the concerned teacher and now he passed 12th std and joined bacher of arts. 3. Medical support For 56 children treatment was given both in government and private hospital, in this particularly 7 dog bite case, remaining, fever, headache, chest pain, allery, appendices etc and for 32 children first aid was given at ANISHA for simple ailments. And 6 women from self help groups also benefited medical support for uterus.
4. Exposure visits 26 children from pre primary class was taken for Makala Koota (children’s park) for exposure visits, children played in different games and had nice food and enjoyed the visits
Child labour class 12 children admitted in government hostel for further continuation of education from first std to fifth standard who were drop outs from school.

Women self help groups
  • 18 self help groups
  • Total savings Rs. 3,10,420
Benefits from government scheme
  • Caste certificate done for 6 children
  • Birth certificate done for 3 children
Sponsorship program
  • 7 children studying in sponsorship program 5 male and 2 female from 1st std to 4 std
Group Insurance for women 10 members took risk coverage policy under LIC of India and one child got the scholarship benefits of Rs.1200
Subud Visitors One student from Germany Mr.Konrad visited ANISHA and supported children by providing note books and other stationery and few visitors from London also visited
Children savings Total Rs. 15750 has been saved by children
