Non-profit NGO Amanecer Foundation, created the 17th September 1991 with legal status from Cali, Valle. Its institutional objectives include: developing educational and social programmes which encourage a balance between a human being’s interior and exterior contents.
The Amanecer Board
It is made up of 5 principal members and 5 deputy members. These represent the living forces in Amanecer: the Muhamad Suduh Foundation, the Amanecer Foundation, and Enterprises.

Fundraising Methods
The Amanecer Foundation receives financial contributions from its residents for its administration, and from the organisation of events. The social and educational projects receive contributions from strategic alliances with Bienestar Familiar (governmental social welfare organisaton), from the children’s school fees, from Susila Dharma and from project grant applications made to government and private entities.
Achievements And Actions In 2007
- The paying of several years’ worth of tax arrears.
- Presentation and acceptance of a proposal to host the Subud Panamerican gathering in 2008.
- Participation in national government public tender to create a data base of service-providers in programmes related to early childhood, obtaining the best score in the department.
- Permanent activity in its facilities with the attendance of 130 children on a daily basis at the different social and educational programmes.
Goals For 2008
- Repair its infrastructure.
- Organisation of the 2008 Panamerican meeting.
- Reactivate the contract with MSF which would recover the original sentiment of the two Foundations on the creation of Amanecer.
- Restructure the statutes of Fundación Amanecer which would allow the development of programmes in the medium and long terms.
- Improve its administrative structure.
- Energise the development of educational and cultural events.
- Improve our proposal to the service-providers for early childhood care.
- Present two additional development alternatives to the World Council.
- Set in motion the legalisation of land.

Describe How Sdi Could Help You Achieve Your Goals
- Advice: two visits per year from professionals in the social, educational and community fields who could help to envisage and propose strategies for the macro development of Amanecer Foundation and its programmes, to help them become successful and sustainable.
- Follow-up: permanent communication by the advisors with the Foundation’s team in order to assess continuously the development of the strategies which allow the fulfilment of the goals.
- Donation: promote the project by presenting it to donors, entities and people within and outside of Subud in order to attract sufficient resources to guarantee the accomplishment of activities and their qualities.
- Suggestions: putting the Amanecer Foundation in touch with similar institutions in order to exchange experiences (successes, difficulties, projections) which enrich and strengthen processes, help to capitalise past experiences and help convert difficulties into opportunities.
- Use of Amanecer as a venue for its main events. Programming of different SD meetings at Amanecer in order to make use of this large space, the original aim of which was to provide a Subud meeting place where members from all over the world could work together and be inspired to find the way of expressing the latihan through projects which allow a real development of the human being. Promoting events at Amanecer with the different Subud wings.
